this is one of most beautiful temples I have never visited with this few tourists visiting. this is apparently not one of the touristy temples in the centre of Bangkok. yet the location is great right next to MRT, Siam centre and other iconic shopping malls that close to Chulalongkorn university. I have came here a couple of time to admire the beauty of this temple! it’s quite big and worth visiting

Local Temple
#celebratewithtrip
Wat Hua Lamphong is so accessible as it is just beside MRT Sam Yan Station and is situated close to Hua Lamphong Station. More of a local temple than an overcrowded tourist attraction.
You can make merit by putting money into the donation boxes and buying offerings for the monks. Apart from that, you can donate money for coffins. Many believe that by donating coffins, you will eliminate bad karma and bad energy. More practically, coffins are essential when we think about it. Everybody dies including the poor.
Come here to experience the spritual side of the city. Wat Hua Lamphong is visited by locals and believers all day and all night. It's just fastinating to see such effort put for spiritual purpose nowadays.

Magnificent Wat Hua Lumphong
#fallingforfall
It is very easy to get there: Since Wat Hua Lumphong is strategically located in the center of Bangkok there are many ways to get there. The easiest way is to take the mass rapid transportation line to the station Sam Yan next to the Chulalongkorn University. From there you can walk within 5-10 minutes to the temple.
The temple is not just one building. There are multiple buildings that are all beautifully designed with bright colors. In fron of the Wat Hua Lumphong there are many street vendors that sell traditional thai deserts and snacks. Make sire to cover your shoulders and knees when visiting

Pretty Temple in Bangkok
I was taking a walk in the neighbourhood and saw a really pretty Buddhist Temple. It’s name is Wat Hua Lamphong. When I stepped in, I heard familiar accents from fellow Singaporeans. Turns out this is a popular spot for Singaporeans to do coffin donations.
There are also many different spots for people to pray at and overall a really nice place to just walk around and appreciate Thailand’s people and culture!
Remember to cover up if you are coming here as at the end of the day it is a holy place. It is very easily accessible as there is an MRT station (Samyam)right outside it.

🇹🇭 More blessings from Wat Hualumphong
Bangkok Thailand is always a great place for family trips and this is at Wat Hualumphong. In Thailand, there are many temples, shrines and places to make merits for all kinds pf purposes. At Wat Hualumphong, you can make donations to build temples and shrine and even sponsor the needy for any ongoing campaigns such as building schools. At this temple, you also can make merits by donating coffins for the temple so that they can assist the needy even into their afterlife. It is fairly simple to do this ritual and even if you miss some steps, it is totally fine. There are also temple staff around the temples and you can ask them for help too.

Wat Hua Lumphong
#songkran2024
There are many temples in Bangkok. But Wat Hua Lumphong, a Royal Buddhist temple known as the coffin temple that offers different and interesting experience you can participate during your visit. You can make offerings to help to purchase coffins for those who cannot afford them. This is very popular among tourists and local Thai people too. Each donation of one coffin is 500 baht. Write the amount of the donation and write your name on the pink slip and a certificate. Pray and paste the pink paper on the coffin. After that pray again and burn the certificate in the bowl.
You also can pay to release caged pigeons which apparently will bring prosperity to you. There are many fortune tellers if you wish to find out your luck.

The incense-promoting Hualan Peng Temple
Wat Hua Lamphong Hualan Peng Temple is very close to the hotel we stay in and passes by every day. Originally, it was not in the itinerary plan, but if the incense is so strong and so many people are worshipping, lets take a look. The main body of the temple is on a slightly elevated platform, although not large, but the building is still very beautiful. There are many booths below to buy incense, wishing lights and other items. Many believers are here to ask for Buddha cards and water lamps.
